“Religion should unite all hearts and cause wars and disputes to vanish from the face of the earth; it should give birth to spirituality, and bring light and life to every soul. If religion becomes a cause of dislike, hatred and division, it would be better to be without it… Any religion which is not a cause of love and unity is no religion.”
“Do not be content with showing friendship in words alone, let your heart burn with loving kindness for all who may cross your path”
Bicentenary of the Birth of Bahá’u’lláh – Oct. 22, 2017
As 2017 begins, over 5 million Bahà’ìs worldwide are preparing for major upcoming celebrations. On October 22, 2017, in some 100,000 localities worldwide, they will celebrate the bicentennial of the birth of Baha’u’llah, the Founder of the Bahà’ì Faith
Two hundred years ago, in the autumn of 1817, a child was born in Persia who would come to be known as Bahá’u’lláh, the bearer of a new message from God that calls on all the peoples on the Earth to recognize their common humanity in a world that is rapidly shrinking. In October of this year, Bahà’ìs all over the world will invite friends, family members, neighbors and coworkers to join them in celebrating the bicentenary of the birth of Bahá’u’lláh.
